My Skills
As a social science researcher with an interdisciplinary background, I balance technical skills with critical thinking and socio-technical analysis. Throughout my experiences, I have honed skills in effective science communication and translating complex technical topics into compelling and digestible insights for different audiences. I am skilled in designing and delivering responsible AI training and workshops tailored to different contexts and audiences, and I have experience in responsible AI strategy, tool implementation, and auditing. Beyond research and strategy skills, I also bring extensive public speaking experience from academic conferences, research presentations, and leadership summits throughout my time at Stanford and Oxford.
My Expertise
My expertise lies at the intersection of academic research, responsible tech consulting, and early-stage startups. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, and Society (STS) from Stanford University with a minor in Archaeology, and an MSc from the University of Oxford’s Internet Institute in the Social Science of the Internet. More specifically, I have examined the social impact of digital technologies, such as analysing GenAI’s impact on the future of work, sustainability goals, and online safety. In my DPhil at the Oxford Internet Institute and research at the AI + Planetary Justice Alliance, I am examining the social and environmental implications of AI hardware and infrastructure
My Experience
My experience across a range of organizations has strengthened my ability to approach complex problems from multiple perspectives, combining an understanding of cutting-edge technological innovation with a deep commitment to social impact.
As a Tech Ethics and Policy Fellow at Stanford Institute for Human-Centered Artificial Intelligence (HAI), I worked at the intersection of AI governance, ethics, and policy, translating complex technical and regulatory issues into practical guidance. At the Mozilla Foundation’s Responsible Computing Challenge, I contributed to growing responsible technology movements around the world through education and philanthropy. Working with colleagues and partners across Ghana, South Africa, Kenya, India, and the United States, I developed a global perspective on technology governance and learned how to build initiatives that are responsive to diverse local contexts.
More recently, I worked on a go-to-market strategy for an early-stage, Y Combinator-backed startup. Working across technical and people-facing teams enabled me to see firsthand the pressures founders face as they scale, as well as the levers that investors and strategic partners can use to meaningfully influence long-term outcomes.
